Do my chicks really look like Swedish Flower Hens to you guys? Should I double check with the breeder?

the pavlovskaya hatched! Spunky little thing. Has been rolling all the eggs around that are supposed to be a still as possible this amerauacana that was trying to hatch was faced down, so I rolled it back over. Do you think it will still hatch? It doesn't seem to be trying. It had a horrible air cell on the side of the egg instead of the bottom. We'll see

I had to remove the pav, and the membrane on the amerauacana looked a little dry so I put some water in a spray bottle and sprayed the opening. Do you think that's ok? It peeps every now and then and it's beak is moving like it's still absorbing the yolk.

The other amerauacana is pipped! However the first one isn't making progress and its not wiggling or anything. When should I assist?

we have one maran and one Amerauacana! The other Amerauacana that had the odd pip was severely malpositioned and did not make it despite my efforts

Out of 6 eggs we had two successfully hatch another one pipped but did not make it. The 3 others look to be quitters. Super happy with these little EE’s

At 11:30 last night I successfully helped out a Maran who had pipped on the wrong end, and it's zip wasn't big enough for it to get out of. He is now recuperating in my incubator. Still have 3 Maran eggs not looking promising.

Update: 1 of my hedemoras quit around day 17. I now have 4 eggs in lockdown as of yesterday. None are wiggling. Day 20 for my two hedemoras and day 19 for the two from my flock.

I also now have a dozen button quail eggs!!
