Food Agression

Well thank you for the education, by the way are you familiar with how fighting cocks are trained? I am just curious how they do it. I can't imagine that you simply knife up your inexperienced bird and set it in the ring. There has to be more to it than that, and true, I was operating under the ASSUMPTION it was similar to how they train dogs.

I am familiar. Discussion of such should be in another thread and only if moderators give blessing. I would not consider discussing such in this thread and insist such a discussion would be limited to process without judgments derailing it.

Fighting birds don't ever need practice they are born with the instict to challenge other males the winner goes on to pass his genetics on. No bait birds are ever actually needed as they are born experienced. ;)
Thank you for sharing the knowledge and setting me straight. :goodpost:

I agree and was asking in the most general of terms as I don't need a detailed discussion. However, I do enjoy picking peoples brains. I do know that few chicken keepers have the same goals in mind when keeping their birds. If I was looking for help with an injured fowl the most experienced of us to treat it is someone who has had experience keeping ill tempered birds for that purpose and I wouldn't be inquisitive how they came by that knowledge if it were one of my favorites and I needed their know how. Regardless my curiosity on this topic is sated as they are just born and bred that way and it is passed on through genetics. Thanks all.

I'm wondering where they are going to spin their chrysalises if its under the eves of the houses or storage sheds it is really going to start looking alot like Christmas around here! And b4 Thanksgiving noone does that.

edit...corrected plural form for chrysalis, could have also used chrysalides for the plural form according to Webster's

The game fowl people are not experience in ill tempered chickens. The latter part of your statement (deleted) also not correct. You are not enlightened as you state.

Did I ever claim expertese or enlightenment? Wow, please feel free to put me on your ignore list as I believe we would both be much happier. I obviously offend you somehow and am not going to apologize for my lack of knowledge.

Sincerely,

Allen

I am not offended, rather concerned. The bolded in context of sentence and balance of paragraph proceeding it is the "enlightenment" that should be to dispelled.

Well Chichassan's explanation makes alot of sense to me, we breed em for the traits we want to see expressed, a common theme I read over and over I just bolded so the main point was covered if someone doesn't want to read all of my wordy drivel:confused:
