I am here in Candler NC it is 84 degrees should I put water up in the roosting area for them when I shut the door at dusk? They are 7 weeks old and idk if I should because I just got them today
Are they only in the coop for the night and get let out super early? As long as they're not in there for long in the morning they should be fine.
But, since you just got them they may be a bit stressed out so it may be good to keep water in the coop for the next few days.
I would keep water and food in the coop and in the run for a few weeks. By then they should be comfortable in coming out.
My thinking is if any are in one place or the other and aren't comfortable moving between both they still have access.
