Food/Water Inside or Outside of Coop??

My husband is building me a coop and large connected run for my new chicks. They are still too small to go outside yet.
When they do go out there, I plan on opening the coop door early every morning and than closing them up every night. My question is, should I put their food and water inside the coop or outside in the run?

I leave it in the run. When I let them out to free range I leave the door to the run open so they can get to there food and water. I figure if it stay in the same place they know where it is. They even know to go back in the coop to lay eggs. Congrates on your new chicks!
