today i noticed that my 4 month old easter egger has been resting on her right foot with her left foot up. the middle toe nail is dark gray and a shorter then the other normal white toe nails on her feet. she runs around acts normal but she has been sleeping on the other foot. does any one know what might be the problem? do you think it will go away on its own or should i do something it it? the only thing i can think of that could cause it is from jumping down from a table she sits on onto stone. their is plenty of litter in the coop so it cant be from jumping down from the roost.

It does sound like she injured it somehow, maybe caught it on something or turned it backwards when jumping. I'd just watch it to make sure the foot doesn't start turning red or black. It will probably resolve itself.
