what does this look like? I'm thinking to use vetricin and blu cote on it? is it a callus from new materials to walk on? She hasn't been outside

The little scabs look like a very mild case of bumblefoot. You could probably just put some iodine on them and watch it. Or you could do some warm soaks with Epsom salts and water once a day, then dry thoroughly.

Thank you, thst is the am plan. My daughter sprayed vetricyn twice and blucote so far. The roosts are now blue! This is on both feet. One looks almost dry.

The coop floor had been plywood, this us advantex painted with floor paint.

Do you have some bedding on the floor boards, such as pine shavings? That is needed to soften the floor for them to jump down. Bumblefoot can occur when there is rocky or sharp objects around the coop and run or ranging area, when tiny cuts or scrapes occur and introduce bacteria into the skin.

they've always been on TS flakes - in this coop they have a good solid 4 inches of flakes in the coop and a 3 foot area of sand by the pop door - in the older coop where this must have started it was plywood with chips, but they always dig down through the chips to the plywood - this is on both feet in the same places which looks like pressure sores from positioning that started this. Today her feet go into Epsom salt baths. We've been reading and are gathering up all the meds.
