Foot scratches

That looks like a good set up. There are only a couple things I can think of:

1) There is something they are cutting their feet on - a corner of something, a particularly big pine shaving, something like that

2) The pine shavings might be too course. A finer shaving would be better, if that's the case.

What do you see in there? Can you figure it out? The scratches aren't bad, but chickens step in their own poop a lot, and that could cause the scratches to get infected.
 
I looked at their wood shavings, and removed all the large ones. I also put some shampoo on their feet to clean off any poo or dirt.

Can't see anything obvious. Just check everything in there for sharp edges. Hope you have a bigger space ready, that's going to be too small real soon.
