She is gorgeous! What kind is she? I must know!
They are both blue laced red wyandottes...from a HATCHERY!
What a gorgeous chicken! I had golden laced wyandottes that were really skittish, beautiful birds but not friendly at all despite being handled a great deal when young. What's her temperament like?

Is she from MyPetChicken this past May? I have one of those, and she (Florrie) is the fluffiest, most beautiful girl I've got. She started out very sedate and approachable, but not pushy. She is now the most aloof, and avoids physical contact whenever possible. She is also (I think) one of my non-laying hold-outs. My JG & BO have been laying regularly for about two months. My two Wyandottes, Florrie(BLRW) and Sylvie (SLW, who has a crossed beak) are still unproven. Agnes (JG) and Pearl (BO) have been caught in the act, and are very vocal, squatting, egg-song singers. I'm not expecting too much from Sylvie, I don't know that she's eating well enough to develope to the point of laying. And Florrie is the last to show any of the other signs, like squatting, or singing.Although, her comb and wattles have just in the last week or so, started to turn from bubble-gum pink to something closer to red. Perhaps there is hope yet. But I must admit, she is absolutely gorgeous.
