like me....for those who love them, but hate taking the time to bake them sheet after sheet, and then forget them, and burn them, and just ruin them, well, try this bar cookies recipe. It is fabulous!!! Ive tried others, and this is by far the best one. Only thing I would do different next time is maybe put in just a little less sugar, but other wise, its perfect!

I froze half of them, and will take half to work with me tomorrow. Ill be interested to see how they freeze.

Halo, I had to peak in at the recipe late last night - big mistake. I've been thinking about them all day. I really have a hankering for a piece warm from the oven. Oh, and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I just have to bake some.

These were fantastic! Everybody loved them!
in spite of the fact, that, typical me,

I didn't have all of the all purpose flour, so made up the rest with bread flour.

Didn't have enough brown sugar so made up the rest w/white sugar.

Didn't have regular chocolate chips but did have a package of semi-sweet & white swirled Nestle's chips so used those.

& it was fantastic! & I didn't burn it!
This recipe went into my recipe box!
