I've never actually been in a desert. What's it like?
Actually, Australia would probably be classified as a desert
My house has newly installed insulation. Once the heat gets in (maybe two or three days) it stays in until practically the start of winter
Google the mojave desert. Seriously, do it. This area is SOOOO full of wildlife and interesting plant life you will be amazed. It is really gorgeous here. Though hot as hell......
I think of deserts as sand... I think it's cos the closest thing we get is probably the bush, and that's just mostly barren land with a few brickly bushes, where I've been anyway
I worked my fanny off today. Well I thought I did till I went to get a shower to wash off the sweat and dirt and chicken poop. I found it. I just thought I lost it. It was sooo hot today and I had so much work to do cleaning coops and raking under pens, hosing out one pen, fiixing the leak in the duck pond. With no success. I'm gonna go ahead and line it with concrete. Thats what we where going to do but stopped with the outer wall. So If I an find a hardware store open i'm gonna start with the back wall and cover it with concrete. I think thats where the problem is. If not I'll work on another suspected wall.
The ducks where so happy when I filled up their pond. I have to get it fixed. When I do i'm gonna go to the bait shop and get some minnows for them to dunk for. They'll think their in heavan. I've been trying to get them to go in their house to eat. I was just pouring their feed on the ground but the birds discovered it and eat it faster than the ducks do. So I keep showing them the feed thats in the house. they're getting closer. One would think that if they saw their food they would go to it. but noooooooooo. I may work on the ramp they have to use to get in it. Maybe they don't like the rubber mat thats on it. If it was more of a ladder type ramp I think they would use it. Maye i'll swap the ramp in the pool. Once I get the pool fixed they won't use the ramp to get out. I'll have to go and get a couple bags of quick crete tuesday and get started on that wall.
Watching Married With Children posting on BYC and ocasionaly checking out the window at coop just to make sure I don't need to take the shotty out there to regulate
