Exactly! It's not a seasonal thing. It will get lonely and think you don't love it anymore if you don't use it!
 
well i dont have anywhere to put chicks in december...?

I'll wait for my broody Orp bantam hen to do it for me, sometime in June and July, perfect timing for chicks!
 
A plastic tote, expandable screen and a heat lamp is what a brooder makes. It's what I use. I also use 2 20 gallon aquariums with the expandable screens and heat lamps. It's worked for me for 2 years now. I bought 1 tote and the other I found on the side of the highway and the aquariums where given to me.

Where there's a will there's a way.
