Stacy, thanks we have been looking at pheasants for awhile, we have an enclosed pen to keep them in and tried to order some but there were all kinds of issues with shipping from out of state, permits/ health certs etc to be legal. We had no idea there was so much paperwork with game birds.

You can print the application out online and then just send in $5. It's pretty easy. They don't come out to check you unless you want to recapture, but we didn't put that on my license since we don't release and recapture. I can legally release on hunting grounds however, as I have the license. Same license goes for quail and wild varities of turkeys.
