Nope, happy to report that I have zero tolerance on drinking while hunting. I've seen too many people hurt or killed due to that foolishness.

Now AFTER the hunt is another matter...

edited by staff....you can clearly see this post is not going to be appealing to vegans. There was no need to read it or post a response that can be interpretted as inciting.

Super nice! You'll have to tell your buddy congrats!

77horses, are you a vegetarian/vegan? If you do eat meat, you know it obviously comes from somewhere. Sure, it's sad to have to take the life of an animal, but at the same time, as long as the meat doesn't go to waste, it isn't really a complete loss. Of course, this depends on your philosophy about the food chain, which for some people, has to do with religion, so probably doesn't need to be discussed in depth here.

At the least, I don't doubt the person who shot this buck plans to take it in and get it butchered. It will feed his family for a long time. People who say the buck looks delicious are just remembering similar experiences eating venison. In a thread about a hunting accomplishment, you're probably going to see a lot of positive comments in response to the original post. You, although you have a right to your personal opinion, came across as somewhat condemning.

We are not going to debate a subject which is clearly noted in the title what is contained within. If you don't agree with hunting, move on to the next post. Thank you.

Jody
