For the "House Chicken" folks... what's the craziest... ?

I have a little OEGH that is called "House Chicken". She hatched here 5 babies in a box of newspaper beside the fireplace and loves to sleep on the cat stand above the cats of course. The funniest thing she did was try to wake my dad up once. He was not feeling well and stayed in bed longer then usually. House Chicken noticed this and was walking around the house making all sorts of noises, i guess looking for him. I was quiet for a bit so he opened his eyes and she was right there infront of him. She then proceeded to peck his nose. She got tossed off the bed but she did get him up.

That's great, Dodgegal79!!

Benjamin likes to make a big ol' fuss to get me up everyday, as well. He's trained me to help him down off his roost every morning. He's perfectly capable ..he just likes for me to come out, grumbling and stumbling ..before my dose of caffeine kicks in....

It also means plenty of mornin' mealies for him, while I make another cup of joe for myself.

Obelisk likes to help me cook too...she'd make sure that all the ingredients are fresh...

The craziest thing that she's done is to shred a piece of my DS's homework a couple of years ago...I taped it together and it still had beakmarks...

If I'm sick, I try and lay down on the couch in the parlour...I fell asleep one time and I felt a weight on my chest...I'm asthmatic so I thought it was an asthma attack, but it was Obelisk and Slifer was pulling the blanket off...

I have a favorite silkie I would love to bring in the house if my dog wouldn't get so tore up. She wants to be an only child. I've always wondered somethings about the diapers.
How often do you change them and doesn't the poop get all in their feathers?

Tell me more!!! Ya'll almost got me convinced. Hubby leaves for 2 weeks at a time for work. I could make a diaper and have my silkie napping with me on the couch.....shhhhh...don't tell him!!

If you don't make the diaper holding part of the contraption too fitting ...make it more like a little pouch.. you won't have poo in the feathers (well, not any more than they would if they weren't diapered ...I have a Sizzle and Silkie, remember?

..and Ben, the Faverolle, seems to be quite fluffy around his back end, as well)

I change out the half newborn diaper piece about every 2-3 hours, as needed. It depends on your bird and their potty habits.. change more frequently with super poopers, of course!

As for my DH killing me ...he hasn't yet.. with all the "kids" in the rescue, here....

..I think we're safe!
