HELP Needed , Trying to incubate Coturnix quail again, been 4 years , After first 1 hatches how long wait till move to brooder? Any book to read again would help also.

I move mine as soon as their fluffy. I live in a pretty dry climate, though, so I open the incubator for as short a time as I can and I also squirt a pipette of water in (but not on the eggs) into the incubator to tick the humidity back up as quickly as possible after opening it.

i move mine minimum just as soon as they're fluffy, absolute maximum 1 day.

Literature state max. 48h. But I move them also about 24-30h ... I try to hit a moment, when no chick is about to hatch.

Edit: nearly impossible

I move them as soon as they're dry to a pen right next to the incubator. No more than 24 hours.
