I'm putting together a Google Form to help collect data and/or interest in BYC members who might like to contribute by being on a list or sticky for being a person to tag (or be tagged) concerning their area of experience or knowledge. Or at least I think that's what I'm doing...right @casportpony ?

This form could let BYC members know what we are asking of them and if they would like to be on such a list. Some input on what questions you/you all would like asked or the type of information needed, ie: is this a general interest query or are we using this form to actually collect the target data, that would help me formulate the document better. Think of yourselves as the brain stormers and me the brainy bits idea collector. Kinda gross sounding, but true. :D
Thanks!

@SnapdragonQ let me know what you want my help for. I’ve got multiple google sheets I manage for local chicken groups.
Thank you!
Feel free to jump in with your ideas based on the ideas the good members brought up on the other thread for what is trying to be created.
I think I'm on the right track and made a sample Google Form and can swap out the target questions once they are decided upon. Or, we could forgo the Google Form for survey purposes and go right to creating the spreadsheet or document. What do you think?

At this point I think I'm just corralling the info as it's coming at me.

I think the areas of “expertise” should be categorized by forums maybe instead of narrow fields. I also sort of like the idea of a new sticky within each forum, and then maybe some rules. No tagging from the list of “experts” unless your thread has not received an appropriate response within a time window. I think that would A) entice more people to volunteer as experts knowing they won’t be tagged for EVERYTHING and B) prevent the forum from becoming just a “hey help me so and so!” place that becomes boring and predictable for some and a burden for others.

and then, there should be some way to verify or something to an expert. I don’t know exactly what I mean, or how that would be done, but thought I’d put it out there. There’s quite a bit of misinformation that pops around. Maybe there could be “experts” and “helpers”.... a helper being someone who could help navigate someone to information or make a connection for them to an expert?

Just thoughts I’m having after thinking about it....
