"Fort Scrub Oak" -- New Pictures on Page 4

Thanks for the encouragement! I can't wait 'til the coop's done. My chickens probably feel the same. Thanks Mrs.Evans and NancyDz for the idea about bigger boxes; tonight I added to the current brooder box the biggest box I had lying around -- the box my Dewalt miter saw came in. It's not terribly big, but made the overall area for the chicks at least a third bigger. I'm going to have to look for an even bigger box, as realistically it'll probably take me another couple weeks to finish the coop and run.

NancyDz, I live in southern California. Building on the hillside has made it a lot harder, but it's the best place I could find, and it's location isn't too conspicuous.
 
Try calling your local hardware stores, like Lowe's etc..., and see if you can't find a big box like the refrigerators come in or something. If they aren't willing to work with you, then look up some names of contractors and call them. Someone is bound to have a big box for you.
