Just a thread dedicated to my flock of ducks. So far I have 1 female pekin named Pipi ( my one year old niece’s honorary duck ), a female white duclair named Bazzle, a Cayuga female named Pongo ( she was supposed to be a runner ), a khaki campbell female named Shiloh, a blue swedish female named Toffee, and a male buff named Sassafras.

Here’s a photo dump of them in no particular order:

what it’s like going to let them out in the mornings
That's what it is like for me, too! My ducks go bonkers for the day to start and even fly around inside the barn while quacking madly - despite the fact that they can't really fly.

Yeah, they start up as soon as they see me open the door to the porch. Pipi is my loudest quacker and I feel like Sassafras will be a close second, but he hasn’t quite found his voice yet. Pipi will also start quacking up a storm when she’s hungry. I think it’s her telling me to hurry up with the food

Just because I've had pekins that have had limps due to various issues with their legs, I would suggest maybe putting some sort of bracket or fencing along the edge of the steepest section of the ramp. A broken or sprained leg is going to be expensive or heartbreaking to deal with. Ducks are totally clumsy in my experience, and you might save your duck some trouble if you did this.

I need to take more pictures of them
