Foster/Adoptive Parent Rant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go, Boyd! I hope it works just as it's supposed to from now on and that the potential adoptive family takes it at face value and are happy to move forward in a courteous manner now, too.

Just checked in to make sure we didn't have an sss situation on our hands

Don't forget the ninja squirrels that he has that he has in my back yard stealing my chicken eggs haven't caught them yet but i will. Good job on standing up to them. I think you where right. I don't always understand the system who in their right mind gives someone who keeps testing positive for drugs visitation rights.

update. L had a visit today, I had all assurances that the adoptive family would be there before noon, but noon was the official time. When 12:20 rolled around I called her adoptive worker. She was like WTH? I started packing up to leave and was fixing to walk out the door while still on phone with adoptive worker when they pulled up.

Apparently lady gets lots even riding the bus. She took the wrong one

Then had to take a taxi the rest of the way. Go figure.

I wasn't amused... this is the 4th time being late. Next time I am giving 10-15 minutes leeway otherwise I am out of there.

Maybe it's just me, my OCD nature, but anytime I'm going somewhere I don't know the exact path to I plan plan plan. Yahoo and Google are awesome for finding directions, they tell you exactly, down to the feet you have to travel... not to mention exit numbers and whatnot. When we took the 'train' to Dallas for court I did the same... knew in advance the train schedule, and which bus to take, exactly what stop to get off on, etc. It wasn't hard, just took all of 10 minutes of my time and saved who knows how much time had I taken the wrong one so totally worth it.

If this woman cannot spare 10 minutes to look up the bus route how in the world does she figure she has time for a child? How is she going to get this kid ready for school in the morning, and to school, on time? Is she going to remember to pick up kiddo, or be home when the bus drops her off... or is she just going to figure a 10 year old can stand out in the elements alone for hours like she figures you can?

There's no way I would trust someone with this history with my child, and mine are pretty self-sufficient/adjusted... no way in hades I'd trust her with a child who has been abused...

Why in the WORLD does this woman even want a child... knowing she doesn't want to make the time for one? Very strange.

Good on You and N Boyd... you two communicating is a great thing, for everyone involved... but especially the kiddo who's depending on y'all.

I get lost any time I am driving to a place I have never driven to (even if I have been there many times); I even got lost using hte now not working GPS, and am late often.

HOWEVER, for something that important, you better bet I'd make a point of being ontime--or even early! Once was perhaps forgiveable, but FOUR times? Something does not seem right.

what really got me is the potential adoptive ma was really short when she walked in, and wouldn't talk to me, but instead through my FD. I told her to wait up, and handed her FD's allowance she's been saving and her medication. Never said anything to me but told L to hurry, the ride was waiting.
