Yeah, but my college classes also count (CDE major), as does my CPR renewal.

I've read this whole thread with interest. I grew up imagining I'd foster as soon as I could, but I got scared off by the Hannah Overton case.

Respect to those who have taken the plunge.

got back from a 3 1/2 hour tdm meeting. Sigh, permanency planning for someone not able to help themselves is frustrating. Kid has ability, but is too lazy. Hopefully today was a wakeup call. We ended up telling dhs that even if they granted us an exception on our license to keep more than our amount we may not be inclined due to attitude of child....

This is one of the days that foster parenting is heartbreaking for me

So sorry Boyd. As Silly said..we cant save them all...there comes a time when they have to stand up and do the right thing for themselves.
