x2I think it is time for a veterinarian. You have received tons of suggestions from very knowledgeable folks and your birds are not better. They are displaying multiple symptoms. VetRx is only homeopathic herbs. Did you de-worm them or start an antibiotic? You weren't able to post pictures. We try to lend out knowledge, suggest possible causes, but can't diagnose. It might be time to seek veterinary treatment.
Today I got home late (few minutes ago) and I went to see the girls for the first time today and they are Buff Orpingtons but the tips of their feathers and parts of their feathers are dark brown. They look skinnier and I don't know what to do. I am holding back tears. The vet's prices are unbelievably high so I don't think I can afford to get one. Someone please does anyone live near RI that can come or something. Please.
^^^ X2. Did you give antibiotics? Did you de-worm? Check for external parasites? Have you implemented any or all of the suggested treatments? We are all trying to help you but if you could be more clear that you actually tried what was suggested, when and what dosage?Have you tried the antibiotics yet? Those can be given orally by you, without a vet. Tylan 50, Gallimycin, Duramycin 10, or oxytetracycline can be given /we can help you with the dosage here. Worming with Valbazen or Safeguard liquid goat wormer or equine paste may help since they are pale and have never been wormed. Did you check them for evidence of mites yet? Those can also make a chicken anemic and pale. Vet RX is only an a collection of herbal oils--similar to vicks vapor rub, it will not cure a respiratory disease.
