I found this baby turtle by my house mind you I live in a more wooded area with no near by water. It seems too young to let free but I don’t know anything about raising a turtle. I think it might be a water turtle since it enjoys the water but I also read that most turtles enjoy both. I do know there’s a land turtle that walks around but it looks really different from this one. Any tips on how to care for it?

Put it back where you found it or near water, asap.
There's no such thing as "too young to let free" with reptiles, it's also likely very illegal for you to have.
Go take it back as soon as you can, you're going to give it a disease or you're going to get a disease from it.

I agree, reptiles are capable of living on their own from day one. It doesn't need any kind of help, just put it back where you found it

I agree, it does not need "rescued" from you. I know you mean well but it will not survive in your care. I volunteer at my local metro parks and we all wish people would just leave animals where they found them. Rehabbing the animal is never a good thing for the animal, please put it back where you found it

put back right now. sorry but I'm for real. its not "to young" to live in the wild . keep in mind that they are born with no mom around in the m iddle of a new place.
