I mean, if more than one chicken at the sanctuary is male, they will overmate females if there are only one or two. Yes, she is probably female.I’m not sure. Isn’t she a female though?

Oh no! That’s terrible! Poor thingI did. None of our neighbors have chickens. I’m pretty sure an animal or another bird got to her and dropped her because she has some injuries and dried blood under her wing. I can see her little wing bone popping outI’m bringing her to the vet tomorrow to get her looked at.
Thanks! I’ll check them out either way! Hypothetically, if she was a house chicken she would be super spoiled and loved and would still get to spend time outdoors. And it would be a temporary situation since I plan on moving soon. But I still want to do right by this bird so I’m leaning towards the farmPeople claim the birds are happy, but it isn’t always true. They just don’t know that they could be scratching in the dirt with their friends. However, in some instances it is the only option, if a flock member is bullied to the point of death.
This is not the case here.
Ohh, gotcha! I will find that out before I bring her.I mean, if more than one chicken at the sanctuary is male, they will overmate females if there are only one or two. Yes, she is probably female.
Thanks, me too! She’s currently sleeping on my arm... at workWatching... I hope the pullet turns out fine.
Good idea. Often, sanctuaries will get lots of calls about roosters, so I hope they aren’t just boys there.Ohh, gotcha! I will find that out before I bring her.
Hopefully you aren't allergic to chickens! They are rather dusty. I know I am allergic to them. Thanks! I’ll check them out either way!
