Here's a tip for those who wish to try Chaff Hay and don't want to spend money on it just yet. Find a dealer or distributor and call them. Tell them you've heard about the product and are interested in trying it. They are given small quart-size bags to pass out to prospective customers and they may just have such a bag they are willing to give you to try.

Very interesting.

There is a dealer in the next town....not far at all.

Bales of alfalfa in small numbers are hard to come by here......and usually full of cockle burs.

It comes in well wrapped plastic bags and I think shelf life is 16 months. I have mine kept in a plastic sealed tote to keep it fresh.
It’s wonderful. I put some in a pan for the ducks beside a water bowl and they love it.
