Found a grave on our new property

Quote:
Someone somewhere will be thrilled that you found Thomas ~ and I bet he is thrilled as well ~ no-one wants to be forgotten. This little find of markers on your property could very well be the answer to someone's prayers. Sometimes when folks are trying to do their family history, there are some that just can't be found, and it's frustrating & sad ~ so when you DO find them, wow ~ it really means a lot. They aren't my people, ( that I know of) but they are SOMEbodies ~ I think it's way cool that you found him and maybe even a few potential others.
Good onya! {;>)=

I think it's wonderful you found him. What mystery and history behind it all. I agree, somewhere out there is his family and I bet they'd love to know more. I know I would if I was related.

Thats so neat! My aunt found a grave along the Ohio river near where i was born. Apparently it was a girl named Mary or some common name like that and she had died on a steamboat in 1843. It was so neat to see the thing. I'll try to post a pic of it.

Cool. We found one last summer while riding on our DNR land across from our house. It's over 5500 acres and in the middle of no where. The creepy thing is that's from the 60's as in 1960's. I'm not sure if it's actual grave, or just a marker, but it creeped me out, LOL

Call me morbid, but I love old cemetaries! I dragged my poor children all over Charleston, SC looking at graves! They have at least 2 Presidents buried there. My favor part was that on some of the graves it had the person's last words engraved on them. My favorite was "I told you I was sick". There were some really funny ones!
