He is to young for pills and dewormers. Call the vet. Only a vet can advise you properly. If you're getting mixed answers, you should seek the advise of an expert.

I've heard of way to many kittens and puppies killed from inexperienced people self treating their pets.

Be careful about giving a kitten that young a flea bath or using the medicated powder. It can be harmful if you use too much.

Also i'd be careful with introducing the older cat to the kitten. You never know how they will react.

I agree, definitely a bath since fleas are really bad for young kittens especially. Do not use frontline or any other flea product unless he is over 8 weeks old (2+lbs). It can kill them quickly - the kitten and the fleas!

I have used frontline on kittens that were around 5 weeks old, that I fostered. I just used a tiny dose. And it got rid of all the fleas. Also, OTC roundwormers do work. I have used them on my foster kittens and none had ill effects. I just use a very small dose. But for tapeworms, a pill from the vet will work better than generic wormers.

I just remembered there is a spray frontline makes that the vet can spray on a cloth and rub it lightly on the cat. My vet did this to 4 of my 1 month old kittens and it worked without any side effects. Again, the best advice is to see a vet as quickly as possible.

CORRECT! The best advice is to def. see a vet. I have seen how quickly a kitten is fine and is almost dead, it only takes a matter of an hour or two.

I will have to remember this for next time. I have to correct myself as I have used Advantage on kittens 6 weeks old but never frontline and never under 6 weeks. My vet wouldn't do it till then and I was scared out of my mind by vet horror stories, lol so I didn't use it. I made my vet administer the advantage because I was worried the first time. The advantage worked though and the vet only used a drop. Anything is better than the kitten having fleas, that is for sure.

I only use a drop of the frontline too. And I put it right in between the shoulder blades so that the kittens cant lick it off.
