Found a Kitten*Cute Pics Added*

Thank you and your hubby for finding that baby cat and keeping it! I also hope that no more were in that area.

Good luck with that cutie pie.

looks like that kitten is old enough to eat cat food, maybe soaked in warm water, then add the milk replaceer to it. For some reason the foos doesnt soften as well in just milk replacer. Also my vet says that dawn dish soap left on for 5 minutes is as affective as any flea shampoo you can buy, that in most flea shampoo, it is not the shampoo itself that kills the fleas, it is leaving it on for a few minutes that kills them. We use dawn on our cats and dogs, and use baby shampoo on their face and ears.

Hi, Cute Kitten! I also agree that he is around 5 weeks. Also I have read that Canned Pumpkin is good for cats/kittens that can't go or have hair balls, just a small amount like maybe a 1/2 teaspoon for a kitten daily until it clears up.
Have fun!

ive heard that too. I would only use organic canned pumpkin (only pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie mix)

yes, I agree!

I will try that, thanks. Well took him to vet today and got him dewormed and now he's pooping, so he's adjusting well to living in the house. He loves hiding under my bed from the kids. I will post some more pics now that he's up playing.

i am glad he got a vet check. Also, a little tip on flea control... I use Skin So Soft by avon. It is not harmful and really gets those fleas. the kittens smell good for a few days after too. A lot of the foster mommies for kittens here at my shelter use it. the Vaccines outdoor cats should get are feline viral rhino calicivirus panleukapenia. The abbreviations are FVRCP. But of course that is for those who choose to vaccinate, I vaccinate every three years because my cats are exposed to all kinds of sick cats and kittens from my animal shelter. Indoor cats don't really need as much vaccine and worm maintinence as outdoor cats.

I found a four week old kitten and had to stimulate him to go and wearing thin rubber gloves finally worked. Be sure to rub the underside of his belly too. If he doesnt go over night I would bring him in to the vet. yours looks right about 5 weeks

HA I jsut seen your updated entry...good to see he's going now! Your going to fall in love with him i'm sure!
