About a month ago we found one lone, lost young chicken. We posted a lost bird ad & contacted animal services- they told us to keep it after a week had passed without anyone answering the ad. We had already wanted to get a few hens, but hadn't done it yet- so this was our "gateway" bird. But... we think it's turning out to be a rooster. What do you all think? The first pic is from today, the other from about a month ago. (And I think it may be trying to crow in the morning- but very, very quietly) Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone! We are unfortunately not in the country. Right now, he's very quiet, and sweet like a dog. Is it at all possible that he might stay fairly quiet and sweet? TheT crowing is barely audible through our closed windows. (Much quieter than a barking dog, or even the neighbors playing basketball!) But I'm guessing they get louder as they mature fully? Thanks again :)
