Hey
My dog was obsessed with my belfast sink planter this morning, I went to check why and found something had tried to bury an egg amongst the flowers.
The egg is a little bigger and lighter in colour than that of a chicken. Possibly duck? I live in the middle of a built up housing estate so am quite surprised to see something like this!
I couldn't leave it as the dog was too interested so I put it in a plant propagator on top of a heat mat...wasn't much else I could do. I read about candling and had a quick look, there's definitely some sort of bird in there, I can see the head, a darker area which I assume is the body and some veins, no red ring but no movement either.
Over the last couple of hours it's started leaking a light brown fluid that has a fishy odour.
Should I leave it be and see what happens? Dispose of it? Pray to the bird Gods?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
