Found duck eggs the other day

You're very right, it is good to try... temp needs to get to 37° I believe, since you use Celsius, lol...

Shoe box is just fine for now, humidity can be worried about later, temp is most important...

From candling pics though, I will say that they might not have made it... they don't look quite right, but until they're up to temp I'd keep going for now... once they're nice and toasty warm for a while, then candle again and look for movement...

I will keep trying and will move them to the bowl later today :) right now they are at about 28C. Even if they don't make it I am still going to foster some from Bird Rescue later on this year (they get overloaded with ducklings!), about a year or so ago we had this cheeky one, the Mother duck only had this one duckling, she would fly off for hours and leave it in the garden, as you can see it got very friendly:

Awesome! Just by your presence here, and tour thread creation, its obvious how much you care! Really i wish you all the best!

How is this set up? :)
Pretty neat! You havin fun w it!? Lol! The dry paper towels will wick your himidity out though, damp will add humidity. Im also agreeing w rayvn focus on one thing at a time, temp then humidity :) I think the bowl is a solid step forawrd to a much better "long" term solution :thumbsup

Didn't I tell you I could get you all the help you needed? That's a great bunch of folks on that thread over there, and several of them seem to really know their stuff! I've only been hanging out there a couple weeks & have already picked up some valuable information.

Seems like you're doing all you can do; just keep doing it, and best of luck to you. You should join us over there; it can get pretty wild in there, but there's also plenty of good information passed along.

It does seem like a very great forum!

I think I will stick around, especially seeing as I hope to get chickens sometime in the future and am a fan of all birds! I used to volunteer at Bird Rescue and have rescued A LOT of them, just never dealt with eggs before.
