Found eggs

I have been watching a mam duck with her eggs aince early June, and found her dead this weekend. I took the eggs in and have them in an incubator, but I cant tell if they are alive by candeling. I see a fairly large sized air sac, but when I put them in water they float but not at an angle (big side up), smell a little... fishy? And a few have what looks like a blood spot that can be smeared on the shell. Do they sound like they did not make it?

All you can do is incubate them and see what happens. You can't do anything if the embryos died.
I wouldn't worry so much about the air cell size unless it is extremely far out of the normal parameters.
If they are more than a couple weeks developed, you floated them and they don't move after the water settles, they're likely dead.
I however keep them in the incubator if they don't leak or stink for a few days past due date.

Fishy smell is not good, could mean they died and are rotting. And trust me, you don't want an exploding rotten egg in your incubator

The 'blood' spot is also not good, a good egg should not be oozing anything like that. It looks like the shell may also have some discoloration, which is also not a good sign.

When you candle, do you see active veins and a moving embryo?
