Building our run and shopped around. Here is the best deal I've found.

4' high x 100' long 1/2 x 1/2 welded galvanized hardware cloth (19 gauge): $157

It's on Amazon and True Value Hardware store online, but shipping is about $50.

INSTEAD, call your local True Value hardware store and ask for part # 693876. They should price match the online price (retail is $179). Probably take 1-3 days for it to arrive at the store and you go pick it up.

You pay tax, which is far less than shipping, and support your local business.

Hope this helps!

dang! I just bought hardware cloth for a lot more than that and it's not even as much as I'd like.... maybe I'll order some....

Darn it...I just bought two rolls of galvanized 1/2" x 1/2" x 3' tall x 50' long for $42.99 each at Big R (and that was the cheapest I could find in town). Wish I had known this first...I could have saved a bit.

I just ordered a 36"x100ftx1/2" at Southernstates .com and had free shipping to my local store for ( $ 94.99) . I thought that was a good deal is it ? Its 19 gauge.

I bought this EXACT hardware cloth this past March from my local True Value store. They ordered it for me and it came in by the following Friday. This is the place to get the stuff!

You can also check your local co-op or feed store. We just bought a roll 4' x 100' and it was only $103 (that was including tax)

Yeah, I WISH we had something like that here in Western PA. A couple 'coop's nearer to Pittsburgh, but only in name. They're mostly just a trendy name to sell overpriced 'organic' food to yuppies

PS- There's a thinner gauge that's cheaper, but I didn't want to go smaller than 19 gauge. What gauge did you get?
