I
want something that can double as a cook stove. Hoping this or something like this is available. Now I just have to remember the basics on how far and how high I have to run the piping

Fortunately, there is the internet. I can't figure out how we lived without it.

We have a similar one with plans to get it up and running in a "pond house." Some day.

Reminds me of my grandmothers WB stove.I liked it bettter than the gas stove she had later.I did welcome the tub with the wood buring water heater though. And the toilet was sweet after the outhouse.

I recall seeing iron wood burning stoves listed at harbor freight. If dh would let me I would replace our gas fireplace insert with the wood burning stove.

We have a big woodstove in the basement and it's completely encased in a (vented) hood attached to our ductwork with a blower. We can heat the entire house with that thing.

Make sure any hot ducting or venting is at least 12" from any wood (i.e. floor joists) to avoid risk of fire, Boyd.

I love wood heat, we have an outdoor wood boiler that heats our house and our garage. I don't know how we managed the propane bill before it!
