Found our little gray silkie laying on her egg unresponsive

I thought our little 6 month old Silky was dead tonight. She didn't move when I tried to pet her and move her around. Finally when I picked her up she put her head up and came alive. She was laying on her egg and we brought her in to warm her up by the heater. She seems fine now, but not sure if I should keep her in over night. I just put 2 heat lamps outside tonight, so perhaps she'll be fine. It is suppose to be down to 43 degrees tonight. Usually the 3 hens snuggle together, but tonight she was all by herself in the nesting box and the others were on top of our cocktails cage where we have a heat lamp. Any ideas???

Is it possible she is broody.
Sometimes they can be in a trance like state.

X 2. Silkies are known for their broodiness. It can dry us crazy. It is best to break her if you don't want to hatch eggs now. I had 2 silkies who took turns being broody year round. They break in 3-5 days placing them in a pen without bedding to nest in, and putting in a roost to sleep on.

Suplimenting heat at 43 degrees is just silly. If kept dry Silkies are fine zub-zero. You are stressing her more than the weather.
