Found real treasure in the compost pile! PIX

What a find!
Don't think they are Japanese Beetles though, those are duller.
Makes me want to get a compost pile going. Meal and wax worms are way too expensive.

I read that chickens get gape worms from eating eathworms and slugs.
Now I'm afraid to feed them to my girls. What have others heard/experienced with their birds?

I hate june bugs. they're like an inch long, and really, really gross.

I always find those larva when I'm picking up dog poo, they seem to love it for some reason
