I found some nests with a few eggs in it and collected the eggs and wanted to know if there was any chance they may hatch if I incubated them. I candled them and all showed no sign of development, and when cracked open they had no odor. There is 20+ ducks at this pond, and there’s been... you know...
Anyways, thoughts?

If the egg's are undeveloped, it would be best to leave them where you have found them.

Stealing eggs from wild mallards is illegal. You don't even have a good reason for breaking the law.

The eggs showed no development because their mothers hadn't started incubating yet. The mother only starts to incubate when she has a full clutch of eggs, that way all of the eggs hatch simultaneously. Now the ducks have to start all over from zero.
