Found this girl in our backyard

This chicken appeared in our backyard about 3 days ago. I have been wanting to start raising some backyard chickens for a while now so I took this as a good omen. We have set up a temporary coop in an old rabbit hutch for time being. We were just wondering if you could tell us what breed you think this is? And, if there is any way to tell the approximate age (like if or when she might lay eggs)? Thanks!

Those lay blue and green eggs!they are called Americana or Easter egg chicken.shes the age right now to start laying eggs.some chickens do not lay in the winter.

Nope, HE doefinitly wont be laying you any eggs. Agree probably about 3.5 - 4 months old. Nice little easter egger tho.

looks like a cockerel but give it more time to be certain.

and it is an easter egger and if it is a pullet can lay any shade of egg including white, brown, green, blue

You think it's a rooster? How can I find out for sure? My city does not allow me to have a rooster, only hens. I haven't heard any crowing only peeping.
