my son and his friend were playing in the woods. when they ran up on a turkey in her nest. needless to say they scared each other and the hen had not returned. so they brought me the eggs. i put them in my incubator with some chicken eggs. can i place them under a chicken with my baby chickes for the hen to raise when and if they hatch, and what do i feed them?

To my knowledge turkeys take a different hatching time than chickens. that said, you don't know how close to hatch these eggs were when the turkey hen was frightened away.

If the turkey eggs were to hatch significantly earlier than any eggs your hen is on, she would abandon the nest proir to hatching the chicken eggs. If they were to hatch significantly later, then she would take the chicks and abandon the turkey eggs.

I think in this case it is a loss for Mother turkey and the eggs. Sorry to bring bad news.

Sounds like you may want to put them in a bator or stick them under a freshly brooy hen & not give her any other eggs. As for feed, check the back of your feed bag. It will tell you if it's ok for turkeys & from what age. It usually has another product suggested for you as well if the one you are using isn't the right one.

If there Wild Turkey eggs its probably Illegal to have or disturb nest ,it is here...cva34

i have incubated turkeys twice. both times mine hatched around 26 days. they will eat chick starter, but they really need more protein. game bird starter is what i feed mine. i also give them meal worms. if it were me i would incubate them at low humidity till you notice a pip, then raise the humidity. that is how both my hatches went and they hatched just fine.
