I got this girl from the mixed bin at the farm store. What breed is she? I hope the pictures are adequate. It's the yellow bird I'm wondering about.

Yes, Buff Orpingtons do tend to go broody. However, broodiness varies with each individual bird, not just with breed.

Yep, but at least the odds are better with her than with, say, the Rhode Island Reds I bought at the same time. I had two hens go broody in the fall, and now I'm hooked. In fact, she's one of the chicks I got at the farm store and put under one of my broodies last September. Hoping for more broodies.
