My cat regularly gives us the wonderful gift of a chipmunk on the porch, so chicks are similarly small, fluffy, and helpless, and the cat would decide that they are similarly delicious. My cat is very scared of our hens though, I put him down next to him, all it took was one 'bock cluck BOCK' and he went running

Lmbo! Well, we have at least 10 neighbors with chickens. I know he had a run in with a few feisty girls next door. But, he is protective of his family. So, they are his wards now.

I'm sorry about that! I just don't know what feed store would purposely buy males if you don't even have to vent sex them..almost everyone who want chicks wants females.

He had squishy tushie and had to be handled a few times a day. So, we named him Patience.
