FOURTH ANNUAL BIGZIOS WI CHEESEHEAD CHICKENSTOCK THREAD!

Cindy is coming from the south like you...hwy 41 north to Oshkosh and then north hwy 45 all the way (watch the signs)....just a few miles north of Clintonville. Plenty of time to get the directions just right....we all want a safe and pleasant trip north for you folks. Wanted others to see my advice.

I'll have the hot pink BYC turn signs again....camp gate will be open at noon Friday...come early and relax.

Oh yeah. Amy, if you have a mess of them, I would be interested in some of your yellow heliopsis, if at all possible. If not, no biggie. There is always next year.

I would be interested in some Lily of the Valley also if anyone has extras, please.

If you are determined to bring stew, then I would suggest that the extra things you decide to bring along might be bowls and utensils. We all pretty much plan our potluck meals to be eaten on plates with forks (typical cookout fare) so that is usually what we have, just so you are aware. It would be a shame to have an entire pot of stew and no way to eat it. If it is wet or chilly weather, stew might not be a bad idea.

Bringing along serving spoons for your dishes are advised also. I know someone asked but I can't remember who.

Hey all--you are way overthinking this folks! IT is just a potluck that has way too much food...THere is much to eat all weekend. Bring cereal and stuff for your kids if you think you need to. Everybody pretty much shares what they brought. It is a low stress weekend---really!

If you go to my original post on who is brining what there are no lines...just spaces between people and their stuff. I am too tired to go and find the post but I will tomorrow and will bring it (with additions) to the regular cheesehead page.

White elephants are wrapped...helps with the intrigue.
Lots of places to sleep...

I hope the rain stays away!

What's that supposed to mean? If I'm determined to bring stew? What does it matter what I choose to bring for the pot luck? I don't see anybody picking on anybody else for what they are wanting to bring. I'm sorry, but I don't get it; what's the big deal?

If someone doesn't like what someone else is bringing, they don't have to eat it. {{shrugs}} Or is it because it's "outside the bun" by being something that doesn't go well on a plate and eaten w/a fork?

LOL! (just pickin' on ya!)

Well it is going to rain so what I say....... I have camped in Tornado's up near Mountain and Tigerton 15 years back, came thru 1/4 mile from us, we all lived......... and I'm close to Clintonville if it gets that bad we can drive back and forth, I would offer a place to sleep for others but with my GF's crew and our kids we are 12 already living in a 2 bedroom house, with a couple divided rooms down stairs.......... so I really can't make room this hotel is full up.....
I think I will make a chicken broccoli casserole, or Swedish meat balls, what would you all prefer? If its the meat balls who wants rice or noodles, its good over either?I was gonna make Jambalaya but its a bit spicy and the kids would not like it......plus an orange dream cake for the dessert lovers...........will most likely haul along brats and dogs or burgers for the in between, cuz are kids are always hungry... well so is the hubby for that matter but ya would never know by looking at him, he eats twice what I do and I'm the fat one....God Id kill for his metabolism......
anyway does anyone want eggs or chicks ? I am bringing our doggy Leo, he is the best behaved and would be terribly lonely without us, he is a good boy loves kids, people and other pets, and would never hurt a chicken........... so he is very safe...... just a big ole couch potato dog.
I have no plants to bring along I separated all mine last year and gave them to several of my neighbors, and friends.........
I think Cindy Lost her batch of midget whites so anyone else have them, I will take 6...........so anyway see ya all in few days.......Kim

I might still be looking for a few chicks. I've mostly got what I'm looking for, but there are still a few loose ends. What kind of chicks do you have?
