Fowl Pox- a SUCCESS story....

update......

She wants out and back outside so bad. She will have to be re-introduced. BB is acting normal and eating and drinking normal. She lost 2 scabs and her eye is open almost all the way. She is so much stronger now. We are officially "out of the woods" but not quite ready for the coop.. Soon very soon!

Wow what an amazing story. Not the story of BB but the story of you.

It never stops making me feel good when I see a story of heroic efforts to save an animal. It just makes my heart feel so full of hope. People are so cavalier about "putting down" or "culling" their flock and I understand that it is necessary at times, but gosh, its good to hear about efforts to save!

Thank YOU !

My 6 month old hen is suffering from fowl pox and although this is older I'm going to ask .... I heard to let them dry out was better then keeping moist is this different since eyes are involved? Both of her eyes are scanned shut . I have been keeping dry except Terramycin ( hope I spelled right) directly where I think her eyes are . It's that bad i can't find her eyes . Ug so should I coat her eyes or let dry out and try to peel scabs?
Help
