Fowl Pox and diarrhea?

My flock of Rhode Island Reds has Fowl Pox. They have developed diarrhea. Is this common? I keep their coop and run very clean, but I am concerned that they have coccidiosis in conjunction with Fowl Pox. Should I medicate? I'm trying to keep them antibiotic free and organic, but I love them and will do anything for them.

How hot is it? If it's really hot then they maybe just drinking alot of water, which also causes runny poop.

It was very hot yesterday. 90 degrees I the shade. Big temperature drop today. Only 75 degrees this morning. Their droppings look like water.

I should have vaccinated them. I regret not doing so.

It was 94°F yesterday for my area.

I usually see watery poop with excessive drinking.

Have they been dewormed?

I know it's controversial, but I add diatomaceous earth to their feed. I have not used a dewormer

None of my birds are vaccinated. All of my birds have been exposed to fowl pox, so they have natural immunity.

Diatomaceous earth does nothing for internal parasites, & there's very little evidence of it actually works against external parasites.

It is used to prevent insects in feed though.

About 3 - 3½ weeks for the virus to run it's coarse.
