I've had a fowl pox outbreak I've been dealing with for the last 5 weeks. The chick that was originally infected was hatched/being raised by a broody hen with 5 other siblings. The family has been quarantined from the rest of the flock. All of the chicks developed lesions except, strangely enough, the mother hen. I know sooner or later she will "kick the chicks out of the nest" and stop being broody, if she has no lesions is it safe to return her to the flock?

(Second picture is about 1 week into infection)

The hen may have had pox when she was young and is now immune?
She's pretty young, only 8 months old (got her when she was 4 days old). She's definitely never had dry fowl pox...can wet fowl pox really come and go without being noticed? I've only had to deal with the dry version so far...
