fowl pox dilema

Still have a few baby chickens that have gotten what think is fowl pox.This lone hen did not have very good luck with her babies.She is a small hen and was her first hatching.All the chicks were small.I think out of 6 only two made it the first week then the last two got the pox,one didn't survive very long.Here is a picture of the remaining one.I believe I can bring it around,I have with another chick almost as bad.But not this severe.It is still chirping and eats plenty,I help it get water and vitamins,food ect....It seems to have the will to survive.My question is! IS THIS FOWL POX or something else?would really like some feed back,Kimst

You've been dealing with fowl pox for a long time. How did your vaccinations turn out and did you call the manufacturer to find out if you can vaccinate sooner than 3 weeks?
If anything, you can raise chicks inside a screened enclosure. I've done that often times in the summer without any fowl pox problems with chicks and we live in the swamp.

Just about time to vaccine a bunch this weekend,their wings are grown enough to do the wing web method.They will be 5 weeks but I do have younger ones.I do keep them in coops but they are outside.Am always trying to keep coops and surrounding area sanitized.will try calling manufacturer as you suggest

You can put screen over the vents on the coops as well as the entrance to the coop. The screen will keep mosquitos out of the coop at night.
