We just saw a wart like spot on young hens eye and need help figuring out what it is, and if there's anything we can do. She seems healthy otherwise, and we've isolated her from the other chickens.
That does not look like fowl pox to me. I don't know what it is. It could be an injury, that she got poked with something. I'd probably pick up some Terramycin ophthalmic ointment at the feed store and put some on that for a few days.
No, not fowl pox. I actually have that right now, (well not me, my flock. =P they are working on getting over it now.) and it doesn't look like that. I would agree with Flockwatcher about the ointment. She's a beautiful hen.
How old is your bird? Was she vaccinated Marek's? Is she showing any other symptoms besides the growth near her eye? Are her eyes normal? The pupils the same as your other chickens?
