Fowl Pox side effects?

Wet fowl pox is when there are yellow lesions inside the beak and throat.  Since she has yellow crust in the corner I would watch her mouth every day.  It could even be in her airway farther down.  Sometimes they need to be removed if they are affecting breathing.  I'm glad you are starting antibiotics.  I have a little Mille fleur just like her--they are sweet.  Casportpony has been dealing with some horrible cases of wet fowl pox lately.  She may offer more help.
How exactly would I go about removing them?

Do you sedate them in anyway or are they usually weak enough not to resist? It took two people to pry her mouth open just so I could look at the inside for a few seconds. I don't think she would take kindly to having. A pair of tweezers shoved down her throat.

I guess I'm just used to handling animals, lol... they don't like it, but it can be done by just one person. Try wrapping her in a towel, but make sure her crop doesn't have water in it as she could aspirate during pus removal.

We'll she definitely has some yellow crusty stuff on one side of her mouth but the other two look clean. Should I seperate her so they won't all get the wet for or is it too late at this point? The d'uccle's eye is all red and irritated today and the OEGB is starting to develop some bubbles in her eye. I will try to start them on some Tylan as soon as I can get my hands on some. I have some expired drops for human eye infections I have thought about giving her but I there is only about three drops in there and I didn't want to cause more harm by not completing an antibiotic treatment.

I removed the pus from the corner of her mouth. I dint see any cyst like bumps or anything that were obstructing her breathing but she still sounds snotty and congested. She certainly Isn't acting sick like she was a week ago though. She is flying, eating, scratching and acting her normal self again. They are still pooping green but I'm guessing thats from the vitamins.

I couldn't be sure because I didn't have a light but it looked like she may have had some pus farther back on her glottis(I think that's what it's called). I want to try to get that out but I can't get her mouth open long enough, wide enough, to get a pair of tweezers in there. Any technique suggestions? I had her wrapped in a towel and my mom held her head still and I pried her beak open and pulled the gunk out. She always wiggles her beak/head out of my grasp. Is there anyway to hold her so she can't do that?

It seems there are two kinds of Tylan 50. An injection kind and a powder kind. I had planned on giving the birds the powder kind in their drinking water but i was wondering if it would be better (controlled dosage wise) if i just mixed it on the strong side and used a dropper to get it down their throats. If so how much concentrated (if i should concentrate it) should i mix it OR would i use the injectable kind?
