Hello, I bought 4 chickens about 5 monthe ago, who had been fine, laying, mating, and eating. They are rhode island red mixes, 3 hens, 1 rooster. I have 6 hens a year older than them, that I got from somewhere else. I also have a flock younger than the mixed reds. Seems fowl pox has hit our flock, I know it's viral, and should make its way through my flock. One thing that has me puzzled, no other chickens are showing signs of pox, except the 4 reds. They are all mixed together, living in the same large coop, and are free ranging together. Has anybody heard of this, and will the rest of my flock likely contract the virus as well?

Some chickens are more "prone" to get illnesses, weaker immune systems.
Your other birds may or may not ever get it.
