Yeah, mine dont look like that, in this pic you can actually see the individual beasts but all i can see is black. So mites maybe...posted the above before seeing this. Either way, I think selemectin works for both so i will dose them up and apply oil to afected areas.The best time to handle them is to take them off the roost after dark, and use a flashlight. I am leaning more toward it being mites, but you would be the best judge. Here is a good pic of sticktight fleas:
