Fowlpox

What do y’all do if your birds develop Fowlpox around butchering time?
I believe some of my turkeys have it and was going to butcher them in 6 days. I know humans can’t get it but I never had an issue like this before.
Can I get y’alls thoughts?

My answer is....I don't know!

Now...that said, I have a link to a "meat manual for developing countries".
You may find that helpful. A lot, I would think depends on the severity of the Fowl Pox, whether it's Wet or Dry Form http://www.fao.org/docrep/003/t0756e/T0756E08.htm#ch7.1.5
